There’s Lots to Talk About Here…New Look

There is lots to talk about here at Ergobaby over the next couple of months, including the introduction of a new look.

Our brand is evolving and we are excited about our fun and fresh new look, but it may take some time to fully transition.  In the meantime, you may be seeing both logos…so don’t be concerned, as long as you are purchasing your Ergobaby directly from us, or an authorized retailer, rest assured your carrier is authentic and supporting your baby in the correct and comfortable ergonomic position.

As you can see, the new look remains committed to our nautical origins, while moving into our fun and fresh future.  Our nautilus logo represents the evolution, flexibility and instinctive response your lifestyle requires.  And now we’re excited to have you with us as we evolve!

    Hmm, not a big fan of the rebranding. I appreciate the direcction they were trying to go, and think it could have worked really well, but the more I look at that logo the less I like it; the negative space and actual spacing of the elements seems very haphazard and not uniform, and the kerning of the text is pretty bad. I do like the font though.

    The colour scheme also seems really wrong, especially considering the palette of the ERGO range. Every piece will now have a bright orange logo on it, which will not go with any single product. For a company that is based on natural, organic, and ergonomic products, orange seems a really strange choice of colour.

    It just seems to me that there could have been more thought put into it, and I’d be interested in seeing the research done by the corporate identity designer that led to this execution.

    I don’t like to point out the negative, but I have mixed feelings about the new logo.

    On the positive side, it conjures images of the sun, a shell, flower petals, and a lens flare. It also makes me think of a Rollie Pollie Ollie or a spider. Like Hannah-renee mentioned, the colors don’t seem right. Also, BECO uses the same color orange for their logo.But the bottom line is, Ergo makes a great carrier, and I don’t think the logo takes away from that.

    I really like the logo! I agree the colour won’t suit everything but then neither does the current one : ) I would love to see a neutral colour version ( i.e. black and white) on the products and leave the colour version for everything else. It does seem a shame to add such a big block of colour to a product that is pretty much a part of your outfit every day. I have plain black and the current coloured patch detracts from it so much that I am going to pick the label off.
    I would really like to know a bit more about the decision on the new logo. I was one of the people who took part in the very time consuming market research survey for it and a few words on why this one was chosen would make that effort feel a but more worthwhile.

    I would like to know how to i know  weather my ergo is real or not… i have two given to us by friend.. one made in China, and one made in India.. and the infant insert made in china.. Please help..

    I like the logo a lot better than the old one! It looks more modern and current. My only comment is on the placement of the logo, I understand that the company wants to advertise their brand but I am averse to wearing brands of any kind and don’t love that the logo is front and center on the carriers. Wish it were more subtle like a side tag or embroidered onto the fabric in the same color as the actual carrier.

    I completely agree with Hannah-Renee. I don’t think this logo is portraying your evolving brand in the right way. Colors are bland and although the font is modern, the design is boring and an eye sore. I like the organic feel of the original graphics.

    i like everything about the new logo! the colours, design, font, and even the fact it is now a vertical rectangle. i only bought my carrier last week and am so relieved it had the new logo on it.
